How to get Luck of the Sea Enchantment & What It Does in Minecraft
The Luck of the Sea enchantment, once placed on your fishing rod, increases your chance of rarer catches, and lowers the possibility of getting something less exciting. These rare, often referred to as ‘treasure’ catches, will have an increased likelihood of appearing by about 4% once the rod is enchanted. There are several ways to get a Luck of the Sea enchantment. Firstly, you can combine a fishing rod with a Luck of the Sea enchanted book by using an Anvil. This is a fairly straightforward method, but it does mean you’ll have to get your hands on an enchanted book with the Luck of the Sea enchantment. These can be found in Dungeons or Stronghold chests, but they’re very rare to find out in the wild. A second way to get the Luck of the Sea enchantment is by fishing for it. That’s right, you can potentially catch a fishing rod with the Luck of the Sea enchantment already applied to it. Finally, and possibly the quickest way to get this enchantment, is by using an enchanting table, and some lapis lazuli ore to use on the piece of equipment.
How to Make Enchanting Table
An enchanting table is created using a book, four blocks of obsidian and two diamonds, so make sure you have all that at hand! In order to increase the number of enchantments available, place bookshelves around the table to create your own library. If you place 15 bookshelves around the sides of your table, you should have access to all of the potential enchantments for your tools and equipment. Open up the enchantment table, and place your fishing rod inside along with the lapis lazuli. You will eventually come across the Luck of the Sea enchantment as an option.
